Ms. Venegas was born in Washington, DC and raised in Annapolis, Maryland. She graduated from Annapolis High School and received a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. Ms. Venegas worked for ten years as a consultant to the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Justice working in the development of industrial wastewater standards and the enforcement and compliance of air and water regulations. Ms. Venegas has taught science in public and private schools for the past eight years, including Royal Palm Academy and Saint John Neumann Catholic High School where she taught Chemistry, Marine Biology and AP Environmental Science. Courses taught at the high school level include: Chemistry (honors and regular), Marine Science (honors and regular), and Environmental Science (AP, honors, and regular). Ms. Venegas moved to Naples from Annapolis in July of 2005. When not working, Ms. Venegas enjoys spending time with her two children, Noah and Isabella.
