Shelley Seifert

Shelley, her husband, Paul, and their 9 year old twins, Maddie and Austin, moved to Naples from Annapolis Maryland 5 years ago. Shelley holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from James Madison University (Harrisonburg Virginia) and a Masters Degree in Liberal Studies, concentrating in Public Policy, from Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.). At St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School in Alexandria Virginia Shelley taught 1st grade for many years and then later moved into the Lower School Administration. After the twins were born, Shelley was a stay at home mom for 2 years and then began tutoring children with learning differences focusing on providing varied opportunities and approaches for children to access their strengths and improve in areas where they struggle. She continued her private tutoring practice when she and her family moved to Naples. She has additional training in the Lindamood Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing Language and On Cloud Nine Math Programs. Shelley values strong consistent communication between students, parents and the school. She is very much looking forward to working with students and families in a collaborative environment at The Village School. In her spare time Shelley enjoys boating, reading, painting furniture, cooking, and spending time outside, while enjoying the nature and beauty that Southwest Florida offers.
